DEAG Meeting 20 September 07

Seven members of the of the area group assembled around a dinning room table in Darkest Essex on 20 September for the group's monthly meet. We also welcomed Steve Martin from New Zealand who was in the UK for a week, collecting info on St Erth for his proposed layout and meeting as many Association members as he could in the allotted time. He had already visited the Oxford Area Group and was eager to see more 2mm modelling.

Steve was able to watch some wagon chassis construction by David (S), Nick who was working on a tender and myself with Marks Quay in attendance. I had just finished adding and wiring track extensions to access the relocated train table and was able to run the loco over the full layout for the first time in many weeks.

We spent the evening discussing many aspects of 2mm modelling with Steve and hopefully he was inspired to start modelling St. Erth on his return home.
